NAME

ipacutil - I-PAC keyboard encoder configuration utility

SYNOPSIS

ipacutil [-h] [-v] [-d] [-n] [-b board_num ] [-c config_file ] [-w config_file ]

DESCRIPTION

ipacutil programs I-PAC keyboard encoders attached to the system.
-h, --help
Print program usage help
-v, --verbose
Turn on verbose mode
-q, --quiet
Turn on quiet mode (only print errors)
-d, --detect
Attempt to detect connected I-PACs
-n, --no_program
Don't program the I-PAC. This is probably only useful with the -d or --detect flags
-b board-num, --board board-num
Program the specified board. Valid board numbers are 1 or 2. The default is 1 (1st board)
-c config-file, --cfg config-file
Use the specified config file to program the I-PAC. See also
-w config-file, --write_cfg config-file
Write a default config file to the specified file. The defaults correspond to the function when the MAME jumper is on. See also ipacconf(5)

BUGS

Not tested with USB connected I-PACs. Only tested on i386s with PS/2 keyboard ports. Non-i386 support requires kernel patch (see source)

EXAMPLES

To detect connected I-PACs, try:
ipacutil --detect --no_program
